Mastodon is My Blog¶
Mastodon is My Blog (MIMB) is a local-first Mastodon reader and writer that replaces the usual endless mixed feed with a calmer, blog-like experience.
Instead of throwing every post into one river, MIMB helps you read by person, topic, and intent:
- People for blog-style reading by account
- Content for links, images, software finds, news, and grouped hashtag topics
- Forum for discussion-heavy threads
- Write for publishing without opening your instance's default interface
- Admin for syncing, account setup, catch-up jobs, and content bundles
What to expect¶
MIMB is opinionated:
- It is built for finite reading, not doomscrolling.
- It expects you to refresh on purpose instead of consuming a live firehose.
- It keeps a local cache so views can be organized and filtered in ways Mastodon itself does not always offer.
- It can support more than one Mastodon identity under one local setup.
