Forum¶

The Forum page is an early discussion view for Mastodon is My Blog (MIMB).

Its purpose is to make conversation easier to revisit than it is in a normal feed.

What it tries to do¶

Forum looks for multi-person discussions and presents them as conversation entries rather than isolated posts.

Each card tries to show:

• who is involved
• how many replies happened
• when the thread last moved
• a quick preview of the root post

Filters on this page¶

Forum currently offers filters like:

• Most Active
• Recent
• Friends Only
• All Discussions

This page is still more experimental than People or Content, so treat it as a developing view rather than the final answer to conversation browsing.

Best use¶

Forum is most useful when you want to answer:

"Which conversations are worth opening?"

rather than:

"What is every reply in order?"

Current expectation¶

Use Forum as a discovery surface. When a thread matters, open it and read the full post context from there.
